Jamaica Children’s Magnet School for Innovative Leadership & Civic Activism is a growing District 28 elementary school founded in 2014. We are located on the 4th and 5th floors of the Samuel Huntington campus in the vibrant community of South Jamaica, Queens. We serve students from Kindergarten through Grade 5.

We approach our work with tremendous joy and a strong sense of community. Our community of learners consists of dedicated, motivated, creative, and experienced educators and staff who are committed to working as a collaborative team to ensure our students are reaching their full academic, social, emotional and personal potential. Our team provides an engaging, challenging, and supportive education for every child. Students engage in a rigorous curriculum with targeted and individualized support through daily small group instruction as well as focus groups. We extend learning beyond the walls of the classroom through family and community partnerships, field trips, other forms of exposure to the real world, and STEM activities to foster problem solving skills in a collaborative environment!
Our team speaks six languages other than English! We speak Arabic, Bangla, Chinese, Haitian Creole, Italian, and Spanish. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our vision, mission, values, programs, and amazing school!
